Monday, April 16, 2012

Our wine suggestions for autumn have origins in Spain and Italy but their ability to thrive in warm, dry climates make them the perfect fit for Rutherglen. Not to mention the perfect autumn wine!

2011 Limited Release Tempranillo
Easy to drink and incredibly versatile as a food match, Tempranillo is the perfect medium body wine for autumn.

Tempranillo is a thick-skinned Spanish variety capable of producing deeply coloured wines, and typically features aromas of red berries, ground spice and hints of earth and undergrowth, with and a rich palate of plums, red berries and mocha.

Campbells 2011 Limited Release Tempranillo has delicious red cherry & mulberry flavours with a hints of briar and spicy vanilla.

2011 Trebbiano
Trebbiano is the perfect wine to enjoy chilled on sun-filled autumn days and the 2011 vintage of this sexy Italian varietal is no exception!

Delicate florals, attractive grassy characters, and a great mid palate texture. If you enjoy Sauvignon Blanc and are looking to branch out, we recommend you try our 2011 Trebbiano. It's a refreshing change and a great autumn wine!
