Isabella Rare Topaque

Review written by James Halliday, James Halliday's Wine Companion, August 2016.
Score: 97

A deep well of flavour, preserved and kept fresh to make the weight on our shoulders seem lighter. If you look deep into this wine's olive-mahogany hues you're likely to glimpse an insight into human existence. Such is the profound depth of flavour. Toffee apples, sweet tea, raisins and stone fruits dried and shrivelled. There's a tar-like thickness here; a burst of lime/toffee treacle.
