Susie remembers fondly the magic time of vintage in Rutherglen - the sweet, grapey smells, the lights & hum of the winery in the early hours of the morning, tasting grapes with her Dad whilst trying to keep up with his giant steps through the vineyard and then the buzz of cellar door and conversations around the dinner table about how best to grow the family business. These experiences fuelled Susie’s lifelong ambition to someday be involved in the family business.
After completing a student exchange in Switzerland, a Bachelor of Business (Marketing) degree at RMIT and five years in Sydney working for Thredbo Ski Resorts and then as a graduate with Southcorp Wines & Packaging she decided it was time to return home. In 2003 she began as a Marketing Assistant and in 2005 took on the role as Marketing Manager which she continues to enjoy and find challenging today! Highlights over the years have been releasing new wines and watching them progress, facilitating two brand refresh projects, founding the Young Bloods of Rutherglen, business trips to the US and UK including the launch of Australia’s First Families of Wine and meeting Cellar Club members and Visitors at cellar door and events around Australia.
For Susie her role has no bounds as her mind is always ticking over with ideas for Campbells often whilst travelling & discovering new places, catching up with friends over a good wine or when simply walking her dogs with husband Paul by the mighty Murray or doing anything in our great outdoors!
