In the coming months, a selection of our wines will be released with a ‘new look’ including Rosé (already out and about) Amelie, Trebbiano and Shiraz Durif.
Our main motivation behind the refresh is to make the labels pop!
We hope that they are well received, and they find a place in everyone’s ice bucket throughout the warmer months!
With the contemporary feel of the new labels, it was important for us to incorporate the history of our brand into the new designs. To capture this, the talents of Rita Kinsella were employed.
We previously worked with Rita in 2021 where she designed our GG&T label. Creatively, it was a different direction for us and we loved it. Rita is great to work with, grasps our rough briefs easily and is then able to weave her magic into the designs, which made her an obvious choice this time round.
Rita Kinsella, award winning designer, echoed our sentiments and said when designing the labels it was important to have a meaningful connection to Campbells heritage, with a modern twist.
“The overall look and feel of the new label range is clean, simple, bold and modern. It works collectively as a family, but each label within the range has its own personality, unique typography,” said Rita, who has more than 25 years of brand and design experience in Australia and the UK.
“Printed on a clean white stock, using lots of white space, the labels were linked using modern colours, single letters and the bright drop of liquid gold, which is an important and subtle link to wine and Campbells history, a purposeful way to capture the consumers attention.
“The drop of liquid gold pays tribute to Scotsman John Campbell, who left the Rutherglen goldfields in 1870 to establish Campbells Wines, striking liquid gold, as today the Campbells of Rutherglen have been family winemakers for more than 154 years,” concluded Rita.
This May, the 2023 Campbells Wines Rosé was the first of Rita’s design’s to be released, and in the coming months the new release labels will be launched. The Rose 2024 was made by Jules Campbell and is 100% Grenache. Rose is one of Jules favourite wines to make and we are all enjoying this wine while it lasts!
