DESCRIPTION

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with youthful crimson tints. Fresh and vibrant, full of ripe fruit, with blood plum, blackcurrant and blackberry integrated with sweet spices, earthy notes and a light oak finish.

Wine Making

Early season rainfall eventually gave way to drier ripening conditions in late Summer. A little juice was bled off at the crusher to allow a greater ratio of skin contact. The resultant ripe flavours have produced a rich wine with great fruit depth and balance. After fermentation on skins for seven to ten days using open and closed fermenters, this wine was subsequently aged for a period of 18 months in a mixture of new to three year old premium French and American barrels before the final blend was assembled.

Cellaring

Enjoy now with a Moroccan spice rubbed fillet of beef or over time with slow braised beef or lamb. Cellar up to 2032
