No, we do not charge for wine tastings.

We only charge for groups of 10 or more people.

    Can we sit outside?

Yes, we have a beautiful lawn area with plenty of outdoor seating available for you to enjoy wines by the glass or bottle.

We also have picnic rugs available for casual lawn seating, with giant games for the children. Please ask at our Cellar Door.

    Are children welcome?

Yes, children are very welcome at our Cellar Door but must be supervised at all times. As a small winery and agricultural property, our grounds bring with them additional risk. It is common for forklifts and machinery to be operating on the property, and visitor vehicles moving in and out. As such it is essential that children are closely supervised at all times.

    Are you dog friendly?

Yes we love dogs (you might have seen Lizzie on our social media) and we welcome well behaved and social dogs to sit with you outside, where we have a water bowl available for your furry friend.

If our Cellar Door is not too busy we also welcome dog’s inside, however, please note that Amelie our winery cat may be in the Cellar Door or garden area during your visit, so we do ask that dogs remain on a leash at all times.

    Do you serve food?

Yes we do - our Vineyard Platters are available all day, every day.

Choose from a variety of cheeses, charcuterie, crackers and more. The cost is dependent on your selection.

Enjoy with a glass of wine and relax on the winery lawns or take a stroll through our winery cellar with over 155 years of winemaking history.

We source local produce wherever possible to ensure the very best quality and to showcase our regions finest producers.

Can I buy a glass of wine to drink?

Yes, you are welcome to purchase a glass or a bottle of wine to enjoy at our Cellar Door.

Other than Cellar Door, where else can we buy your wines?

Our wines are all available to purchase through our online shop.

Alternatively, you can find all our stockists here.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

    No BYO food or drink.

We offer vineyard platters, soft drinks and water on site – and of course, WINE!

Can we walk through the vines?

No unfortunately not. This is so we can protect our vines from transferable pests and diseases such as Phylloxera.

Any bulk or business enquiries should be directed to our Customer Service team at wine@campbellswines.com.au

    General FAQs

What’s the difference between Muscat and Topaque?

The grape varieties. The fermentation and maturation is the same.

    • Muscat is made from Muscat a Petit Grains Rouge
    • Topaque is made from Muscadelle

How many acres do Campbells have under vine?

    168 acres (67ha)

Why don’t you have Sauvignon Blanc?

We specialize in grapes that grow well in the Rutherglen Wine Region. Here we have a Mediterranean climate and we believe Sauvignon Blanc does better in a cooler climate.

Why are the bottles shaped as they are?

They tend to be modelled on the traditional shapes used in Europe and especially France and Germany.

Campbells were the first to bottle fortified wines in clear glass so that the incredible colour could be appreciated.

Why do some bottles have flat bases while others are more concave?

The concave bottom allows for pouring without having too much hand contact with the glass.

With sparkling wines, it strengthens the base of the bottle.

Riesling bottle shape – is there a reason for this?

    Traditional shape used in Germany

    Explain the Solera Process

Click here to read about the solera process.

    What is Trebbiano?

It is a grape variety. The most widely grown grape variety in Italy. Also known as Ugni Blanc

Why do you use a mechanical grape harvester?

We use a mechanical harvester so that we can immediately pick the grapes at their optimum maturity, before rain and in the cool of the night for those grapes that need to be kept cool, especially the whites.

How much wine do we sell each year?

    Approximately 25,000 dozen
