The results are in for the James Halliday’s Wine Companion Awards 2023 and we’re excited to share Campbells Wines achievements with you. Our crown jewels, the rich and complex Muscats and Topaques, have once again excelled receiving praise and scores in the high 90’s. The pinnacle of our Muscats, our Rare Merchant Prince, topped the list with a score of 99 points. The Barkly Durif 2017 excelled among the table wines, achieving Gold with 96 points. While our flagship wine and 50th anniversary Bobbie Burns Shiraz 2019 followed closely behind with 95 points. We’re also proud to be awarded – for the 15th consecutive
year in a row – Halliday’s Red Five Star Winery rating. ⁠ Of course, these amazing achievements are only made possible with the dedication and hard work of the
whole Campbells Wines team. We would also like to extend a big thank you to everyone for your continued support over the years.

“The oldest base wine is more than 70 years old. Definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience (or more, if possible!) that displays the fortified winemaker’s great art so beautifully, with enviable refinement and elegance. It is both luscious and multifaceted in flavours. The house style brings deep pockets of the most delicious spice to enliven plum pudding, burnt fig, salted caramel, nougat with a chocolate-covered almond nuttiness. Infinite charm.”
